The developer of the hugely popular Pokemon Go has announced the Fold AR game in partnership with the crypto debit card organization, Fold. The rationale behind this partnership is the synergies that both organizations have been able to identify in terms of their interest in the cryptocurrency domain.
This association will manifest in the form of a Fold AR game that will a part of the metaverse. Although it will be along the same lines as Pokemon Go, the game will provide an opportunity for players to earn the cryptocurrency. The game is available on the app of Fold under the tab of new Play. Once players open the Play tab, they will find the various blocks that can be tapped to find the rewards associated with them.
The operational procedure of the game is as follows: Within the players’ 50-ft radius, blocks spawn and the process of spawning the blocks happens after every 10 minutes. This mirrors the actual mining rate of the real Bitcoin. On every tapping of the block, a particular puzzle is revealed and the solution of this puzzle will lead to rewards for players.
The rewards associated with this particular game include the Satoshis, extra spins, orange pills, and various time extensions that can be utilized in order to play longer. There will be other surprises also such as a poison pin that will bar the player from playing the game for an hour.
In its official blog post, the organization emphasizes that the new experience of the AR game will prove convenient to players. This is because it will provide them with the opportunity to buy stuff such as buying coffee, shopping, and paying the income tax. The game is open to all, but for the cardholders of Fold, the things such as rewards boost and extra spins are included in the Fold card.
